The TVA provides internet - based programme for learning Tamil upto sixth class of Tamil Nadu Government curriculum.
The programme called Certificate course is of three Levels;
-
Basic Level (equivalent to classes 1 & 2)
- Intermediate Level (classes 3 & 4)
- Advanced Level (classes 5 & 6)
The lessons for these courses are prepared with audio and video facilities. They are available in CD also, as mentioned below:
Digital Video Discs :
Tamil Karpom - Prof.M.Nannan
In Virtual Classroom, Prof.M.Nannan has presented Lessons for the Tamils, who can speak and understand but not read or write Tamil. His presentation is in Tamil with 39 Lessons. The title of the programme is Tamil Karpom.
Learn Tamil - Prof.Dr.T.B.Siddalingaiah
Prof.Dr.T.B.Siddalingaiah presents these virtual class room lectures in English, for the Tamils and others who do not know Tamil. These lectures are graded so as to make the learning of Tamil easy. The classes cover alphabet, grammar and syntax. This programme is presented as Learn Tamil.
Technical Glossary
The Government of Tamilnadu has implemented the project for Preparation of Technical Terms in Tamil various fields during the year 2000 and entrusted the work to fourteen Universities in Tamil Nadu. The Technical Terms prepared in various fields by the above fourteen Universities were scrutinized edited and published by Tamil Virtual Academy (Erstwhile Tamil Virtual University) into 14 volumes. These volumes are now available in CD form with search facility.
